Three Encounters with The Buddha

A Retreat in the beautiful Montseny Natural Park

Three Encounters with the Buddha

Stories of inspiration, challenge, and transformation.

Who was the Buddha, and why does he continue to inspire people more than 2,500 years after his life?

On this weekend retreat, we will explore three encounters with the Buddha through the lives and experiences of three practitioners. Through stories, reflection, meditation, discussion, and ritual, we will discover how the Buddha can still meet us today: as an inspiration, a challenge, and a guide to transformation.

For some, an encounter with the Buddha begins through a story, a teaching, or a glimpse of a different way of living. For others, it comes through meditation, friendship, or the experience of facing life’s difficulties with greater awareness and compassion. Whatever our starting point, the Buddha’s life points beyond itself to the possibility of awakening within each of us.

Suitable for newcomers and those with some experience of Buddhist practice, this retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and explore what the Buddha’s example might mean in our own lives.

The weekend will be in English and include meditation, talks, discussion groups, shared meals, and a Seven-Fold Puja.
